Chris Fröhlich is a Director of Photography with a focus on commercials and music videos.
He started shooting videos in those Canon 5D Mark II times, hoping not to crash the camera with Magic Lantern. With a fascination for the music industry and stage lights, he took his first steps by shooting music videos for friends' bands. His communication design studies helped him sharpen his expertise in time-based media and photography, as well as combine various visual storytelling techniques.
Whether through dynamic camera movements, innovative angles, or creative lighting setups, he strives to create visuals that resonate deeply, ensuring that each frame is a vital part of the narrative and evokes a genuine response from the audience. He prioritizes an organic aesthetic, aiming to capture the emotional essence of each scene, and to produce authentic and memorable images that leave a lasting impact. This way, he found his place in the advertising industry – somewhere between medium size rock’n’roll productions and sets with a big crew.
