Axel Stasny was born and raised in Austria. He studied at the Institute of Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna and graduated at the New York Film Academy. Axel is a member of the Austrian film association dok.at.
His work was featured in international film festivals, like the Toronto International Film Festival, Busan Film Festival, LA Pacific Filmfest, Raindance Film Festival, New York Independent Film and won at the 2011 Canada International Film Festival.
