While most directors get their first camera as a gift from their parents, SINISHA simply found his. Or did the camera found him? Anyway, let’s start from the beginning.
He grew up in Rijeka, the largest port city in the former Yugoslavia - now Croatia. Cinema was his second home. But then the war came and he ended up in Austria.
SINISHA spent his first ten years in Austria working in top gastronomy. The grand finale: the Queen Mary 2—the most luxurious ship in the world. Two Atlantic crossings later, it was clear: The film world needed him more than glitz and glamour.
With his “found” Sony Mini DV, he shot his first short films, won awards, and was accepted at the University of Arts in Linz. His graduation film was awarded Austria’s Best Student Film. His first feature-length film, KORIDA, was shown in cinemas across Austria and streamed on Amazon Prime. Not to mention: 8.9 on IMDb.
With LINZ IST LINZ, he created an advertising sensation—a viral video that blew up Twitter (X) and YouTube. Even Jan Böhmermann talked about it. Since then, SINISHA, who is a member of CCA and ADCE, has been hired by various ad agencies as a creative consultant and idea generator. Because he delivers. Always. That’s why some affectionately call him "SINISHA THE FINISHER."
Today, SINISHA lives near Linz with his wife and two children. In his free time, he hangs out with his family or rides his motorcycle. And if he's not doing any of these things, he might find something again - or it might find him.
