Fariba Buchheim is an award-winning director and author with Iranian, Polish, German and French roots.
Her work includes the three-time Silver Cannes Lions winning campaign Breastmilk Money (MILK), for which she wrote and directed, as well as a Silver Young Director Award. Her work has also been honored at the Webby Awards, New York Festivals, The Young Ones, Spotlight Festival, the ANDYs and 1.4 Awards.
Fariba’s work is known for its authenticity, emotional depth and cinematic storytelling. She has a strong ability to create intimacy with her protagonists and translate human experiences into visually striking narratives.
Alongside her commercial work, she develops and directs documentary films and series projects, several of which have received multiple awards in development and pitching stages. Her documentary work has screened at international festivals including Hofer Filmtage the Oscar-qualifying International Short Film Festival Oberhausen and the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival.
Fariba studied directing at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) and is a trained TV journalist.
She lives between Switzerland and Germany and works in German, English and French.
