Filmmaker Jonas Kolahdoozan has been perceiving the world through the lens ever since he was given an SLR camera in Amsterdam.
Having been raised in between two homes, Iran and Germany, and independently choosing the Netherlands as a third, Jonas knows how to actively shift his perception – fast. This has taught him curiosity, openness and the courage to engage with the unknown.
Hence, standing behind a camera enables him to implement the learned, transforming the seen into emotions and therefore giving life to the immersive soul of film itself.
Jonas started out as a camera operator and quickly expanded his portfolio to include photography. Since last year, he has also been working as a Directing DoP, giving him full creative control to bring his vision to life for every client and product. Always one step ahead of the zeitgeist, Jonas has a keen sense for emerging trends and effortlessly weaves the influences of diverse cultures and social backgrounds into his visual language.
