Pascal Rémond, born to a German mother and a French father, has been drawn to the moving image since ever. He spent half of his youth at the movies, in well-stocked video stores and with his self-earned Video 8 Sony at hand.
His first time to the movies was “Police Academy”, and even though this film rightly enjoys cult status, Pascal's taste has fortunately changed: The Coen Brothers are now his first source of inspiration.
After initial work experience on TV sets, Pascal studied cinematography at the renowned Ludwigsburg Film Academy. Since then, Pascal has been shooting commercials and feature films non stop. He loves to travel and to shoot abroad, especially South Africa and Thailand.
His greatest pleasure lies in hearing an outstanding idea: feeling that special atmosphere or reading a fascinating script and translating the intangible into a visual that has the ability to highlight and enhance the special nuances of each individual story.
