Didier was born in the southern suburbs of Paris, in a multi-ethnic district.
He left school and home very quickly, starts traveling around Europe after reading Jack Kerouac's "On The Road". Tired to pursue chimeras, he resumed his studies at the Louis Lumière National School of cinematography and obtained a beautiful diploma (the only one besides his driving license).
Many artists like Robert Bresson, Louis Bunnel, John Huston, Orson Wells, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorcese, Copolla, Spielberg, Sergio Léone...and so many others like, Turner, Caravagio, Rembrandt, Dally, Bacon, Manray, Annie Leibovitz, Vitorio Storraro, Philippe Rouselot, Roger Deakins fertilized his imagination and probably shaped his psyche.
He gained a lot of professional experience by travelling around the world for more than 20 years as a cinematographer.
Didier is a well known and established DoP in Paris and in the rest of Europe. He has worked for luxury brands such as Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Armani, Helena Rubinstein, just to name a few. His work is recognized and published by The American Society of Cinematography and has gained several awards.
Today he is even more passionate than before about all the arts and all the forms of intelligence that exist in this world.
