Milos Jacimovic is a Serbian cinematographer. He graduated from Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and began pursuing a career in the world of independent cinema. His artistic influences emerged out of the cultural heritage of European Cinema D’Auteur, Yugoslavian Dark Wave, and modernist films of the 60s. In 2010, his first feature film “Tilva Ros” premiered at the Sarajevo International Film Festival, where it won the Grand Prix. This was the turning point in his career, as “Tilva Ros” subsequently toured many major film festivals around the world, won over 15 international prizes and a nomination for European Film Academy Award (Nov 2011).
His second feature “Barbarians” premiered at Karlovy Vary Film Festival in 2014, subsequently touring more than 30 festivals worldwide. It now holds has more than 10 international awards and was critically acclaimed by Guardian, Vice UK, Hollywood Reporter and Variety. Since 2013 Milos lives and works in New York City and he enjoys classical boxing.
